We have begun to pick some of the vegetables out in the garden plots, including lettuce and radishes. Today, one of our tenants picked the first courgette with staff!
We are still waiting for our onions, potatoes, peas, beans and sweetcorn and lots more!
We have also recently had a new polytunnel built in the garden. This will allow staff and our service users to grow crops that require a higher temperature and/or humidity, and to protect them from any adverse weather. It provides a good place to prepare small pots ready to be planted into the 4 big growing beds, and provides a great place to work, even on a rainy day!
